So, this is a review post for the week of study that I just completed.
Things overall are going fine. I am a little slow in some areas, but most of the tasks that I set myself to do have been completed. I am in the process of learning skills and positions that I have had little experience with before, so that is not entirely surprising. Here is a little more indepth analysis of my work up to this time:
Commence Write Simple Documents assessment
This has been completed and is currently up for marking by my facilitator
Check all faxes to see if any need to be sent off for FDAY07 promo
Has been completed, so no problems. Will be keeping an eye out for businesses that will be taking advantage of this offer.
General Personnel and Sales & Marketing tasks on the Action Lists
Most have been completed, although there are a few that can only be done later because they are combined with other sections of the office.
Continuing the assessment for Sales and Marketing - writing up of minutes
As mentioned before, the assessment has been completed and am currently waiting for it to be marked.
Providing ongoing support to the new employee that was inducted this morning
This is an ongoing task, and will be continued for a few weeks.
Weekly report write up
have completed the one for the previous week, and also assisted another of the Human Resources staff with this weeks report.
Employee of the Week survey distribution
All done, the Employee of the Week will be presented this afternoon, Thursday 16 August 2007.
Overall, things are being successfully completed within time, and I am finding the experience very rewarding and interesting.

Schedule 09/08/07
Another day, another day in the Star Radio Virtual Enterprise. Here's what (and what happened) on the cards for today:
COMPLETED
- Leading the induction of a new student that we have (in Personnel). It was my first time ever being involved in the induction session. It went well, in my opinion.
- Updating information about some of our Virtual Enterprise partners, such as telephone, email, business hours etc
- Faxing off of some price lists and promotional material to Virtual Enterprise partners
UPCOMING
- Continuing the assessment for Sales and Marketing - writing up of minutes,
- Providing ongoing support to the new employee that was inducted this morning
- Weekly report write up
- Employee of the Week survey distribution
All in all, quite a good day so far, and busy. Just the way that I like it.

Schedule 08/08/07
It's an interesting day, half of which has been held in the computing rooms, completing Excel and Access skills (not that stressful because I already have some knowledge of both software packages), and the other half working in the Star Radio virtual environment. My favourite day of the week!
Okay, this is the rough rundown of what had already happened, and what is upcoming):
COMPLETED
- Computing studies - Excel assessment, and the commencement of Access lessons
UPCOMING
- Commence Write Simple Documents assessment
- Check all faxes to see if any need to be sent off for FDAY07 promo
- General Personnel and Sales & Marketing tasks on the Action Lists
Very involved day indeed.

Schedule 07/08/07
It's the beginning of the study week for me. Personally, I'm quite glad to be back again, although in the beginning, I wasn't entirely sure. It's amazing how things can change.
Okay, today is all outside study, nothing in the Virtual Enterprise, like every Tuesday. This is how my schedule looked today:
MORNING
Produce simple documents - currently am working on Excel, which was the subject I was a little nervous about at the start. After that, Access (databases).
AFTERNOON
Payroll - this subject is one I'm trying really hard to get right because numbers aren't my strong point, but I think I'm getting it now. Which makes me glad.
Will be back tomorrow.

My first post
Well, I've just opened this online journal today. So happy birthdate to my Blogger account!
I've got another blog actually which I'm much more active in (try my world partially revolves around it), and so many people I've met there have become great friends - it's at fuyou.livejournal.com. The site has sort of eaten my soul, little by little. If you have a Livejournal, please feel free to add me there.
So, to fill you in on myself a little, my name is Shannon, I am in my mid twenties, and from the Land Down Under, the country full of kangaroos, koalas, killer sharks and snakes, commonly known as Australia. I work in radio, in lots of different ways - I do reception work, voice overs and also have a regular stint as a radio presenter, Saturday 6-9pm, if you ever wanted to tune in, ahahaha. And I study in college, currently in Business Administration. It is a veeeeeery interesting course so far. After all, I just started last week.
Well, I'll try to update this again tomorrow, I hope that people out there on the Internet are reading this and not being totally bored or anything. Bye~
